From the chef

Continuously exploring new possibilities in taste and aroma, unbound by convention.

KAMINARI CAFE&BAR_Yuta Shiokawa

Mr. Shiokawa was born in 1988 in Nagano. With a passion for alcohol, he spent seven years as a bartender at Shanabool GINZA, where he crafted numerous cocktails. By exploring various ingredient combinations, he became interested in Japanese agricultural products, which led to his efforts to showcase regional ingredients. Later, he also participated in a project for marine-aged sake, in which the sake is aged on the bottom of the sea in Atami. In March 2025, he opened KAMINARI CAFE&BAR. He is now broadening his range of techniques and ideas by creating not only alcoholic beverages but also non-alcoholic beverages.
