Hakuba Village is known as a mecca for mountain sports. Happo-one Ski Resort, the largest ski resort in Japan, was the venue of Nagano 1998 Winter Olympic Games. you can enjoy variety of mountain sports including skiing, mountain climbing, kayaking, hot-air ballooning, paragliding, and so on throughout the year. Soba (buckwheat noodle) workshops and glass ateliers are also popular, where you can experience hands-on soba-making and accessory-making. There are five hot spring resorts, and many cozy hotels and restaurants are available in the village. Come and try new activity.
