Sano

Located in the southwestern part of Tochigi Prefecture, Sano City is known from Soshuji temple, aka Sano Yakuyoke Daishi. Also, it is famous with Sano Ramen and there are over 200 ramen restaurants in the city area alone, people are making a long line at popular restaurants. There are traditional townscapes remaining along Tomomachi street, Reiheisi highway, and in Kanayanaka-cho. The Sano Church of The United Church of Christ in Japan has been designated as a National Important Cultural Property. A tourist spot that has become popular in recent years is Sano Premium Outlet -- from fashion items to convenience goods and outdoor goods, many people come and visit the site to purchase a variety of commodities.
