Area Map
Katsurahama is one of the best scenic spots in Kochi Prefecture. The arch-shaped beach is extending between the Ryozu Cape and the Ryuo Cape. The green pine grove, colorful fine gravels on the beach, and the deep blue ocean all make the perfect harmony, making the scenery breathtakingly beautiful. On a small hill in the park, a famous statue of Sakamoto Ryoma stands. The area around the beach is “Katsurahama Park" where there are many tourists’ spots including Katsurahama Aquarium with many attractions for both children and adults, and The Sakamoto Ryoma Memorial Museum where you can see a range of valuable materials related to Sakamoto Ryoma. We recommend you to enjoy the night on the beach. It's a famous moon viewing spot as the local folk song gpes, “Katsurahama is a beautiful moon viewing spot…”
