30. Torinokyube Meieki Main Store
This izakaya specializes in using Nagoya's very own brand of chicken, Nagoya Cochin, in a variety of ways. Apart from everyone's favorite [Yakitori] (grilled chicken skewers), there's also the [Nagoya Cochin Chicken Tender with Ponzu] (880 JPY (plus tax)), where only the surface is lightly seared. It is safe to eat because it uses incredibly fresh chicken, and comes highly recommended! If the chicken tender and is grilled through, it takes on a clean and refreshing flavor, but as it is left raw in this dish, you can taste the slight sweetness and deep flavor of the chicken's fat. They also offer many beers, shochu, sake, and fruity cocktails.
