Thanks to its surf, beaches, and marine sports, Shonan is a hot spot during the summer, but it’s actually great year round! There are many delicious foods to try as well. 1.PICCOLO VASO
At PICCOLO VASO, you can enjoy Italian cuisine made with local seafood and vegetables from the Shonan area. The interior of the restaurant will remind you of the fishing villages of southern Italy. Since Shonan is a major producer of shirasu, dishes using kama-age shirasu (boiled whitebait) are very popular. Be sure to try the [Kotsubo-san Shirasu and Karasumi Spaghetti] (whitebait and mullet roe spaghetti)!
The [Kotsubo-san Shirasu and Anchovy] pizza has just the right amount of seasonings.

At Shokudo Yurantei, the entire Shonan coastline (Shonan Kaigan) and vast expanse of the sea can be taken in as you enjoy your meal. A nice cold beer with grilled turban shells or baked clams is just the thing during the hot summer months! "A meal with a view" is the best way to describe the Yurantei experience!
The [Enoshima-don] ("don" refers to rice bowl dishes) is a recommended item featuring locally caught turban shells cooked with eggs.

Uomi-tei has been in operation for over 140 years. From this restaurant, you’ll be able to enjoy a view of the Pacific Ocean as you sample fresh seafood. At Uomi-tei, special priority is placed on using local ingredients. Representative dishes include [Enoshima-don] and [Shirasu-don], as well as various set meals. They also use spiny lobster and abalone to create mouth-watering delicacies that you must try!

Have a taste of Maiami Kaishin’s [Nishoku-don] that combines fresh raw shirasu and tuna! The restaurant is a short 2-minute walk from Katase-Enoshima Station, along the national highway. It’s also located near the Enoshima Aquarium. It’s the perfect place to stop by when you’re in the mood for some fresh shirasu!
This is the [Double-don]. A combination of shirasu and tuna is used in this two-toned rice bowl dish. The fresh fish goes great with the warm rice. Enhance the flavor with some wasabi (Japanese horseradish) or ginger in soy sauce.

Ginnabe is located alongside the road passing by Enoshima Station. Be sure to treat yourself to a generous serving of [Kaisen-don] (rice bowl dish with seafood) that includes shirasu. Besides the shirasu, there’s tuna, shrimp, and other fresh seafood. During the shirasu season, you’ll also be able to enjoy [Raw Shirasu-don]. It’s a popular item!
Enoshima is practically synonymous with raw shirasu! When it's not shirasu fishing season, you can enjoy the [Kaisen-don] with kama-age shirasu instead. In both versions, the serving is generous, and you'll have a hard time figuring out where to start!

Located a short 3-minute walk from Katase-Enoshima Station, i-na cafe is a trendy cafe with gorgeous views of Enoshima. You’ll get great rice bowl dishes here, starting with their [Shirasu-don]. There are also other unique shirasu dishes, such as pasta and pizza, that are very popular with customers!
Enjoy a relaxed meal while looking out at the sea. The [Raw Shirasu and Kama-age Shirasu Mixed-don Set] offers a combination of raw shirasu and fluffy kama-age shirasu. The eggplant side dish is also delicious!
