When visiting Fukuoka, one cannot miss the local specialty, Hakata ramen. From long-established restaurants that uphold the classic tonkotsu soup, to bowls that have evolved with double soup, and renowned restaurants that carry on the yatai culture, a variety of distinctive flavors are available. This introduces famous ramen restaurants in Fukuoka that are perfect for meals during travel.
Hakata Ippudo
Hakata Ippudo, located on the 10th floor of "Kuten" directly connected to JR Hakata Station, is one of Fukuoka's representative ramen restaurants. The "Shiromaru Motoaji" is a masterpiece that combines a soup with the umami of pork bone extracted to the utmost limit and Hakata's thin noodles. The menu also offers a rich variety, including the "Akamaru Shinaji," which adds special aromatic oil and spicy miso, and the spice-flavored "Goku Karaka Men." Juicy "Hakata Hitokuchi Gyoza" and rice dishes are also well-prepared.
The restaurant is easily accessible from Hakata Station and features counter seats where customers can feel the lively atmosphere of the kitchen, as well as a family-friendly environment. In the sophisticated Japanese-modern interior, guests can casually enjoy their carefully crafted tonkotsu ramen. The souvenir corner is also a must-see.
