As the Osaka-Kansai Expo approaches, they are pleased to present a selection of new restaurants recommended by Michelin in Kyoto and Osaka to travelers from both Japan and abroad, as well as to the local community. They hope this will contribute to the wonderful experiences in this region, which is expected to become even more vibrant. The newly enhanced mobile tool should assist with travel planning and mobility. This year, they continue to deliver the evolution of the Michelin Guide, which began 125 years ago with a small red book that included information on car repair shops, maps, and accommodations. (Motoharu Sudo, President and CEO of Michelin Japan Tire Corporation)

They are very pleased to announce the latest restaurant selection in Kyoto and Osaka, showcasing the largest number of restaurants to date. This demonstrates that both cities have a deep understanding of excellence and continue to push the boundaries of fine dining. As three restaurants have achieved two stars, they are raising the standard of gastronomy while preserving the tradition of hospitality that transcends time. At the same time, with [milpa] receiving a star as Japan's first Mexican restaurant, Kyoto and Osaka continue to embrace new concepts, making them unmissable culinary destinations for travelers visiting Japan.
